Rehab in TexasBruce has been a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for the last 30 years. He is also a Certified Clinical Supervisor, a Certified Criminal Justice Professional, an Advanced Addictions Counselor, and a Nationally Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Level 2. Bruce cross-trained to work with veterans, youth and families through several different programs, and he has worked both in inpatient and outpatient programs throughout his career.

Bruce has been in recovery for 32 years and says that he has enjoyed a wonderful recovered life. His true passion is to carry the message of recovery to others. His greatest desire is to help both the addict and the individual’s family begin to discover a solution to the many problems the disease creates.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A: “Will it matter in five years?”

Q: What one word would the people who know you best use to describe you?
A: Gentle

Q: What motivated you to choose a career in recovery?
A: I got sober in a 12-Step program.

Q: Besides working at Clear Springs Ranch, what hobbies, sports, or activities do you enjoy?
A: I love to ride my Harley, play with the dogs, travel, and read.

Q: Is there a personal fact you might share that would be hard for others to guess about you?
A: I am an Eagle Scout.

Q: What’s your favorite movie? What’s your favorite book?
A: My favorite movie is the “Lord of the Rings” series. My favorite book is the “Wheel of Time Series” by Robert Jordan.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share about your personal story?
A: I am a two-time survivor of cancer.
